When we design our CAD models the realities of fabrication, the tightness of an engine bay or the proximity of pipework and ancillaries, form a core part of the design solution. CAD modelling or directly onto car or bike?

Alunox use CAD models from most file formats to design complete exhaust systems and in-house components such as press tooling, jigs and fixtures. In the absence of customer drawings we create a CAD model but we also model directly onto a race car or motorbike. However when we apply 3D scanning and data capture to a project it vastly reduces time scales and customer costs.

 

CAD for Systems and components

Alunox are able with CAD to manufacture a number of specialist component parts, such as ‘V’ Band clamps and O2 bungs for use on high-performance race and road exhaust systems. With CAD models we consider all critical areas to create full patterns that aid the workshop fabrication of exhaust systems, manifolds, roll cages and chassis. We routinely manufacture parts for race cars and bikes and for the industrial and marine sectors.
