CNC MACHINING

Alunox manufacture precision CNC components on complex 3 and 5 axis milling and precision turning machines. We supply individual parts or weld them to final assemblies in our workshops for exhaust, cooling, hydraulic or other mechanical systems.

Removing trial and error

The components fitness for purpose is ensured using a 3D printed prototype in plastic that’s then trial fitted to the engine or other system. This ‘proof of concept’ rehearses and/or eradicates any problems paving the way for precision final machining.

 

Process

All CAD design is completed in-house. Prototyping and final machining are undertaken by our trusted commercial partners working to our direction and deadlines.

 

Speedy turnaround

We manufacture CNC components as one-off’s or as batch or volume production with a typical 10 working day turnaround.

 

Applications

Typical customer orders have included the production of, exhaust flanges, stubs, bend tooling, jig fixtures, bushes and a range of components for engines, chassis and other machinery.

 

Wide range of materials

There are few restrictions on the materials we machine but the most common ones are: Stainless, Titanium, Tool Steel (high strength D2), Aluminum, Inconel, Mild Steel (EN24T & EN8) and Nylon (MOS2).

 

Drawings or components?

Our initial starting points for CNC machining include:

• free-issue components

• client’s CAD drawings

• drawings made in-house to a customer’s precise specification

• measurements taken from an engine, head or other major component
