Lightweight tube frames in high performance metals

A space frame (tube chassis or trellis frame) is one of the safest of constructions for race cars, road cars and bikes. It’s affordable cost allied with thin wall tubing such as Titanium or Docol R8 produces a super lightweight chassis that retains the strength of heavier metals such as Cromoly or T45.

High power transfer & lower weight

Alunox design and fabricate space frame chassis for almost any vehicle. Our highly-skilled engineers build them strong enough to efficiently transfer higher engine power to the road or track whilst keeping the weight as low as possible. We offer two options;

1. Rolling chassis with all engine and body shell mounting points ready for you to complete the vehicle.

2. Complete car or bike preparation service finished in your specified time frame.

Precision jigged construction

Our NOX jig System is used for all chassis construction in all metals, including

Titanium. It gives a guaranteed precision placement of tubes of within 0.2mm after welding ensuring a more precise fit for body panels and better clearance for the exhaust system and ancillaries.

Bike riders perspective

Our trellis frames constructed in lightweight metals provide a much stronger construction allied with lighter weight .The benefits also include greater and therefore more convenient access to the engine and other components.

Enhanced driver/rider experience

Precision construction translates into more predictable steering and a better power response for the driver or rider. A stiffer more rigid chassis will also improve roll over protection in racetrack situations and give the driver additional confidence at speed. With increased stiffness comes the added benefit of durability.

Our international credentials

An example of our tube chassis construction was the development of the super lightweight chassis for the BAC Mono F supercar. Using the newly imported Docol R8 steel at a thin wall thickness of 1.2mm it provided a weight saving of 18% compared to T45 with the addition of increased stiffness and durability.
