LOTUS EVORA & EXIGE Supercharged Noise Compliant Silencers 

 

Alunox Advanced Tube Engineering have developed noise compliant, high flow, maximum power silencers for both the Lotus Evora, Exige & Emira. The new silencers ensure that both cars are track legal and that they comply with current 2025 British and European Racing circuit noise limits to satisfy both the serious track day racer and the fast road enthusiast. 

Our silencers are built to precision motorsport standards using only high grade metals. 



Alunox quality and design 


The Evora, Exige & Emira silencer systems provide a combination of noise reduction, advanced flow design and high visual appeal. The driver is able to switch between two noise levels using the Helicol exhaust valve. Additionally the unique shape of the silencer provides a visually attractive system that will be a significant addition to your vehicle. 

Manufacturing process and materials.


Our silencers are specifically designed for the Evora, Exige & Emira and they are manufactured to precision standards throughout the production process - welding, fabrication and materials. We therefore confidently offer the usual Alunox 12 month guarantee on both our workmanship and the materials we use. 


  • All tubes are mandrel bent providing smooth internal surfaces which greatly enhance flow rates above the factory product. 

  • Purged Tig welding used throughout construction maintains quality, flow and finish. 

  • The tube sections are coupled using high only precision Alunox V-band clamps for 

  • accuracy and precise fitting. 

  • Complete system fabricated in dedicated jigs for repeatable and consistent quality. 

  • Silencer is fed via a flexible coupling to eliminate vibration and resonance - a must for supercharged engines. 

  • Silencer uses dual-pass, perforated tubing - efficient flow rates through out rev. range. 

  • Maximum noise reduction is achieved by using Inconel wire wool and 850 degree exhaust packing which eliminates burnout from the silencer. 


EVORA & EXIGE 


Supercharged


We are able to offer two options for the Supercharged Evora, Exige & Emira silencers: 

Option 1 - Stainless Steel - constructed from Grades 304 and 316

Option 2 - Titanium KSTI ASNEX - the ultimate lightweight metal 


Option 2 is our most technically advanced package using KSTI ASNEX Titanium - the best high temperature metal available for high-end exhaust fabrication. This Titanium system offers everything found in Option 1 but with a significant weight reduction due to the construction in this lightweight material. 


Our silencers use only Helicol Technology’s exhaust valves in both the Stainless Steel and Titanium systems. These valves have the reputation of being the best on the market and are a proven component in all our exhaust systems. 


The valve is pneumatic and operates under vacuum. It can be wired to operate from a key fob or directly from a switch. (Not included). The valve is 3” in diameter and switches flow in the dual pass design. This dual pass design incorporates 321 grade perforated tubes with Inconel wire wool and 310 grade wire mesh/850 degree silencer packing to maintain efficient flow rates throughout the rev range. Maximum noise reduction is achieved using this exhaust packing. The Alunox packing technique also eliminates burnout from the silencer. 

For the Lotus Evora, Exige & Emira the silencer and middle section come as a complete system which replaces the factory original up to the manifolds without any modifications to either the body or the mounting brackets. 


The middle section is constructed from equal length down pipes to ensure accurate pulse tuning and is configured as follows: 


  • Twin 60mm (2 3/8”) 2 into 1 downpipes. 

  • Downpipes merge into larger diameter 76mm (3”) pipework. 

  • Complete with flexible coupling to reduce resonance. This free flowing design is a clear enhancement over the factory original.

Recorded at 1⁄2 metre from the tail pipe at 4500 r.p.m.

Valve Closed - 92 dB

Valve Open - 102 dB

N.B. Both values are road and track legal. There is no loss of power when the valve is closed due to the Alunox twin pass design.
